i have lived in northbrook for 10 years and had sent my kids to private school thinking that it's better. we join wescott 2 years ago, and, i don't have the words for it, it's such a greeaaat school. the school staff, the programs, and pto all work together to bring out the qualities of the children. there's enhancement program for the ones that need help, there's enrichment program for the ones that are ahead, there's esl, speech, reading, and the very beautiful musical shows led by the very talented music teacher Mr V. , last but not least, the beauty of sharing and helping others in need are demonstrated by the pto in hosting activities that help the less fortunate in the city. thank you all at wescott, you help make wescott a quality school, that the children will learn for life. & thank you dr carmen, the principal.

Wescott is an outstanding elementary school in which the entire staff truly cares about each individual student. In addition to academics, the school focuses on qualities of good citizenship. The music teacher is beyond belief. He has written dozens of incredibly entertaining original musicals for the children and scores of original music (including the school song about the Wescott Family)! No child leaves the school without being touched with an incredible love for music! Our principal has been with the school since the Fall of 2005. She is extremely personable, an excellent administrator and leader, and a truly caring person with both the children and their parents. There are strong programs for both children who excel (enrichment) and those who need extra help (IEPs, ESLs, etc). Seasonal supplemental school programs include science club, chess club, arts & crafts, and computer club. This school is incredible!

My son was at Wescott for two great years before we had to move out of the state. Wescott is a very special school. Dr Carmen's leadership is unbelievable. She makes it her point to get to know all of the students. She is visible, reachable and approachable. The teachers are all incredible and truly care about their students. My son learned to think critically versus learning how to take a test. Parents are encouraged and welcome to help out. New students aren't left to sit by themselves at lunch or recess. I only wish my son could still be apart of this truel amazing school.
