With paved access from the north and gravel access from the south, it’s easy to reach — but feels quiet and secluded once you’re there. Having access from both directions also gives deer hunters a key advantage, allowing you to slip into stands with the wind right and a better chance of beating their nose. The north end of the property is covered in a stand of mature hardwoods, with the largest portion being big white oaks. The ground is littered with acorns — an irresistible draw for deer and turkey that use the timber as both food source and travel corridor. The canopy, age, and composition of this stand give it not only wildlife appeal but also strong timber value and long-term management potential. Along the creek, Lost Branch has been dammed to form what we call Lost Pond — a natural draw for wildlife and a reliable water source year-round.
