319 22nd Street West or "Chateau Coco" was built by the same builder, H.C. Van Swearinger, of the historic "New Manatee River Hotel" in 1926 (the Roaring Twenties). The hotel has been restored as the Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Bradenton (one mile away from 319). The Builder and original owner of 319 built the house as his personal residence. The Builder referred to the house as "Le Chateau Coco" as the architecture was "Province inspired style" from homes he visited on the Mediterranean Coast, east of the Rhone River in France. "Chateau Coco" is on the Gulf Coast of Florida, south of the Manatee River. "Chateau Coco", "New Manatee River Hotel", "Seagate" (Powel Crosley Estate), and John Ringling's "Ca' d'Zan" were all completed in 1926.
